Visioning
Session
On August 21, 2003, the Annandale Area Community Team hosted a community-wide visioning session. The purpose of this event was to gather input in a large forum manner regarding what improvement needs and concerns community members feel Annandale has. Four strong areas of interest were unearthed at this meeting, and motivated community members formed teams to focus on each individual topic. These areas of interest were: arts and culture in the community, a community center, a skateboard park, and an improved trails system. On October 7, 2003, these groups met again and began to outline their goals and formulate specific plans for success with the help of Initiative Foundation staff. Today these teams are well on their way to achieving their short and long term goals.
