September 6, 2012          

Program:  Tour of the Annandale Food Shelf’s New Building – We will meet at the new Food Shelf building, 390 Annandale Blvd, and then move to Classic Event Center for our meeting and lunch.

Program:  Youth First and Our Community – Pam Wurm and Mary Barkley Brown will explain the ways that Youth First benefits our community.

November 1, 2012

Program:  Beautiful Skin – Before and After 70 -  Dr. Elizabeth Hagberg, former Annandale resident and now owner of Skin Rejuvenation in Edina, will give us all tips on treatments, foods and activities that help us stay looking younger as well as what to look for in a “miracle” cream.

Program:  Holiday High Tea – We will once again enjoy this holiday treat in the Westman home on Lake Sylvia.  Seating is limited and carpooling is a must.  Directions will be given before the event.

Program:  Let’s Talk About Books – Mic Golden, former GRRL Collection Development Coordinator, will educate and entertain us with discussions on various great books to enjoy this winter.

Program:  Yoga and You – Robin Davidson is a Registered Yoga Instructor and will share with us the importance of Yoga for all ages and body types.  We will learn self-massage techniques and stretches to improve flexibility and relieve tension.

Program:  General Security for Women and Their Homes - Learn ways to protect yourself and your home from the increasingly inventive ways people are trying to take advantage of us.

Program:  New Ideas for Gardening –This is the time to be planning your gardens.  Come hear and see some of the great ideas Debbie DeBeer, a local Master Gardener, has to share to make your garden be the one everyone wants to see.

Program:  Annual Meeting- We will meet in the Dining Hall of Camp Friendship, 10509 108th St. NW, Annandale, with an option for a tour

Program:  Salad Luncheon Picnic – Enjoy a lovely luncheon prepared by your executive board and program committee.  We will meet in the lower level of the Pavilion to relax and enjoy old and new friendships.

Program – Merrilee Carlson and Her Son’s Inspiration – Merrilee Carlson is the mother of Sgt. Michael Carlson, who gave his life in Iraq on January 24, 2005.  She will share the challenges and inspiration received because of her son’s death.

Program:  Boat Cruise on Lake Minnetonka – $55 covers transportation, cruise with a guide to point out special sights and the luncheon.  With over 125 miles of shoreline, we won’t be able to see it all but we will definitely see beautiful homes of celebrities and learn some interesting facts about this lake that Prince mentions in his song “Purple Rain”.
