September 9, 2010             

Program:  Field Trip to Global Market/Ingebretsens                 

Join us for window shopping at the Global Market and a tour of Ingebretsens Market. Lunch will be on your own. The cost of the bus trip is $15.00 per person. Bus will leave at 9 A.M. and return at 3-4 P.M.

Donation:  Wright County Hospice

 

October 7, 2010  

Program:  Nicaragua Mission Trip - Patti Gilmer-VanDorp will share her experiences traveling to Nicaragua for the past eight years.  She will tell how her mission group has gone with an open mind, open heart, open eyes, open ears, and a spirit of humility with a genuine desire to learn about our brothers and sisters of Nicaragua.

November 4, 2010

Program:  Interior Design/Staging - Lisa Siebert from Siebert Interior Design, a full service residential designer, will discuss how to stage your home and some of the newest trends in interior design.

Donation:  Annandale Schools All Day Kindergarten

 

December 2, 2010

Program:  11:00 A.M. Holiday High Tea This will be served by Cottage Gourmet at the Westman-Hankerson home on Lake Sylvia.  This is limited to 60 people at $25 (including tax and gratuity).

January 6, 2011 

Program:  Mic Golden GRRL Library Mic Golden, GRRL Collection Development Coordinator, will entertain and educate us with a book talk.

Program:  Wright County Historical Society Take a step back in time as Sally Stevens from the Wright County Historical Society shares current and future resources of an interactive facility for children of all ages.     

Donation:  Pioneer Park for history preservation

 

March 3, 2011    

Program:  Letters for the Ages - Joan Brinkman has always valued the communication form of letter writing. Whether read on the day received or years later, they touch future generations. In our present culture, is there still a place for handwritten communications? She will share how letters can become an irreplaceable gift.

April 7, 2011

Program:  Otten Brothers Garden Center Otten Brothers will have a gardening specialist meet with us to discuss spring planting issues and answer general gardening questions.

Donation:  Heart of Hope Camp

 

May 5, 2011         

Program:  Annual Meeting/Main St History Business meeting and a short presentation by AIC member, Doris Wynia, on the history of Main Street (Oak Ave).

June 2, 2011       
Program:  Terry Hitchcock/The Run - Terry Hitchcock will speak about two journeys he has faced in his life.  He ran 2000 plus miles in 1996 from St. Paul to Atlanta in 75 consecutive days, and his second journey when his wife, Sue, died of breast cancer leaving him a single father of three young children.  That struggle of keeping normalcy for his children and the run has been documented in an award winning documentary call MY RUN.

Program:  12 Noon Picnic at Annandale Pavilion/CPR and Portable Defibrillator

Donation:  Care packages for troops (checks payable to AIC)

 

August 4, 2011   

Program:  Munsinger Garden Tour - These dramatic gardens feature distinctive giant oaks, hemlock and pine trees, and more than one thousand one hundred rose bushes. We will also be enjoying lunch at Coyote Moon. Cost of the trip is $25 (bus & lunch). Bus will leave at 9 A.M. and return about 3-4 P.M.
