The constitution of the Club was reviewed by the officers and changes were proposed and accepted this year to:

  • change the term of the new officers to begin at the close of the June meeting of their newly elected term and through the final June meeting of their term,
  • dues were stated as $5.00 and membership fee was stated as $10.00 and to be collected the September meeting,
  • and our meeting time was set at 11:00 AM.

Our Vice President started a new tradition of reading some of the clubs history at each meeting.

Throughout the course of the year our members donated:

  • wearable coats to the Walmart Annual Coat Drive
  • useable craft items to the Youth Firsts Cardinal Buddy Program
  • mittens and hats for Bendix Elementary School students

Our members voted to change the lunch policy that if you RSVP that you are coming to the lunch and then do not show up, you will be cordially invited to pay for your RSVP via a polite form letter from the committee.

The Clubs Ad Hoc committees to decorate the Pavilion basement worked on the completion of the mural paintings over the summer months and the stenciling the borders. Future work on window treatments is being scheduled by volunteers from the Club.

On behalf of our Club this year members represented us by:

  • speaking at the Middle School On A Roll program
  • attending the Annandale City Volunteer Appreciation meeting
  • attending the Annandale City Council meeting regarding building a new library
  • attending a meeting for the Annandale Seniors Agenda for Independent Living

Seven of our meetings were held at SouthBrook Country Club and three at the Annandale Pavilion.

The average attendance at our meetings was 40.

We had five new members join this year.

Respectfully submitted,
Sandy Miller
Secretary
