April 6, 1972Library rooms

  • New slate of officers:

  • $500 donated to the Minnesota Pioneer Travel Park
  • $210.22 was put on instant interest

May 4, 1972Ellis Steak House

  • 25 members and 10 guests present
  • Mr. Robert Biddle, slide curator at the U of M art department, presented an art presentation

June 8, 1972 Camp Courage Reception Center

  • 14 members
  • Enjoyed a nature trail hike at Camp Courage
  • Village Council presented the Improvement Club with the Village Council rooms

September 14, 1972Library rooms

  • 21 members and 6 guests present
  • Guest speaker was Signe Miller from the U of M Theater Art Department
  • The club tried a 1PM luncheon for the first time

October 5, 1972Ellis Steak House

  • 19 members and 6 guests present
  • Remodeling of the library by Russ Froemming was voted on and accepted
  • Guest speakers were: Mrs. Marianne Lasley, Republican and Mrs. Bev Johnson, Democrat

November 2, 1972Library rooms

  • 25 members and several guests present
  • 300 wreaths were ordered
  • Mrs. Flo Castner, from the Minnesota Memorial Society, spoke on the high costs of death

December 9, 1972Ellis Steak HouseChristmas Party including husbands

  • Enjoyed by nearly all the members

January 11, 1973 Methodist Church in the Fireside Room

  • 23 members and 2 guests present
  • Total profit for wreaths was $395.25
  • Club agreed to help with the Medical Clinic
  • Slides were shown on Japan , Rome , India , Austria , Switzerland , Guatemala , and the British Isles

February 4, 1973Ellis Steak House

  • 27 members and several guests present
  • Tour of Homes scheduled for May 22nd with the proceeds going to the Medical clinic
  • Panel presentation by Wright County Welfare Department

March 8, 1973 St. Johns Lutheran Church

  • 17 members and 2 guests present
  • Discussion and films on cancer concerning women
  • Dr. Robert Jones, and intern at the Buffalo Clinic, answered questions
