  • Change of by-laws because of the new library system
  • Membership: 47

May, 1970Bus trip to tour the Guthrie Theater and lunch at Young Quinlan

June 4, 1970 Picnic at Louise Merchants home

  • 24 members and 1 guest present
  • 1970-71 program accepted
  • Daryl and Jan Gunnarson spoke of a new project: to help the commercial club with the Queen contest
  • Repairing of the west wall in the library was brought up

September 10, 1970Library rooms

  • 14 members and 4 guests present
  • Secretary Kathy McAlpin resigned and Ginger McAlpin was asked to take her place. Club approved
  • Miss Baker, associate director of the Regional Library in St. Cloud , spoke

October 1, 1970Library rooms

  • 19 members present
  • Mrs. Wilkins and three foreign students from Minnesota International Center in Minneapolis , spoke

November 5, 1970 Library rooms

  • 25 members and 4 guests present
  •  It was voted to order 300 wreaths
  • Mrs. Charles Mitchell from Cokato demonstrated candle making.

December 3, 1970 Mrs. Enghausers home on Sugar Lake

  • 27 members present
  • Cost to remodel wall in library with shelves is $500

January 7, 1971Library rooms

  • 16 members present
  • All but 9 wreaths were sold
  •  $35 was collected for Camp Friendship
  • Discussion on the old depot

February 4, 1971Carolyn Ericksons home

  • 14 members and 2 guests present
  • Library fund to be put into the general treasury
  • Ruby Thayer was made an honorary member
  • Veterans make plans for the flower circle

March 4, 1971 Dayton s Furniture Store

  • 19 members and 3 guests present
  • Program on decorating tips
  • Mildred Shadduck received a letter from the President of the Soo line, stating we will get the depot, so it can be a historical site in Annandale .
  • Old flower boxes were given to Julia Barkley
