 April 1, 1965-Business Meeting

  • Article IV, section I of constitution changed. In brief the meetings are to be held on Thursdays.

  • Girl Scout books are to be purchased by library board
  • $25 paid to Harold Jones for planting flower boxes

June 10, 1965- Picnic at McDonalds Camp Bullfrog

  • Next years program presented and accepted
  • Judy Arney selected to fill library board term of Phyllis Figge

September 16, 1965-Trip to Red Wing Pottery and Ramsey Mansion in ST. Paul

  • Arborvitae trees are to be planted by Harold Jones in the spring in the redwood boxes
  • Julia Barkley selected to fill library board term of Judy Arney
  • Mrs. Harriet Mhoon, Director of Social Services at Anoka State Hospital , gave a talk on Criteria for Good Mental Health

November 4, 1965

  • 20 members present
  • Voted to sell Christmas wreaths again
  • Doris Kalash and Bess Gilchrist gave talk on antique glassware

December 2, 1965- Lunch at Ellis Steak House

  • 27 members present
  • Welcoming committee dissolved

January 1, 1966

  • 19 members present
  • Committee appointed to investigate library lawn bench
  • Mrs. Leonard Bisonet gave a talk on current books

February 3, 1966

  • 16 members present
  • Wreath sale profit of $296.25
  • Committee appointed to look into drapes for the library
  • Julia Barkley, Marion McDonald, Mildred Shadduck and Myrtle Sawyer showed pictures and displayed articles from their European trips

March 3, 1966

  • 20 members present
  • $100 donated to the Girl Scouts for camping equipment
  • $200 donated to the library
  • Following lunch at Ellis Steak House Mrs. Lee Stringer gave a talk on flowers and arrangements.
