Our community vision of a trail system that connects all parts of Annandale is about to launch into construction!  The first segment of the trail system will be built in spring of 2009.  Through grant funding from the federal government, cooperation of local land owners, and donations from the community, a section of trail will go from Triplett Farms to Southbrook.  Eventually this section will join other trails segments to create an extensive trail system for the benefit of all.

The Annandale Area Community Team is looking to the people of Annandale  to help raise additional funds for this trail system, one segment at a time.  Right now we are seeking $50,000 to complete the first section of the trail.  You can be a part of the development of trails by participating in the funding activities that will take place this winter and spring.

TRAIL FUND-RAISING ACTIVITIES:

  • Starting in December of 2008, businesses in the community will be selling foot and bike post-ups for $1 and $5.  Individuals can buy the foot and bike post-ups, add their name to the page and the business will post them up. These funds will go directly to the development of the trail this spring.
