The Public Meeting on June 18th was well attended. Community members saw photos of the current conditon of the building and had an opportunity to express their thoughts about future uses for the 1922 school building.

November, 2012 - The School Board gave the go-ahead to the Citizens Committee to ReUse the 22 to do a ReUse Study on the 1922 School building.
December, 2012 and January, 2013 - Local Committee Co-chairs spoke to local groups to introduce the upcoming Study: the Annandale City Council, the Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Lions Club, and Improvement Club.
January, 2013 - Committee Co-chairs Laura Hood Beckman, Jill Bishop, and Rose Mary Nelson sent out a number of RFPs (Request for Proposals), interviewed top candidates and contracted with John Lauber and Company, LLC. The Reuse Study Team includes John Lauber and Bob Claybaugh as Co-PIs (Co-principal Investigators), both with impressive credentials and extensive experience in ReUse Studies. March, 2013 - The Team did extensive study of the building and the community. Click Here for their Preliminary Findings of the state of the building.
April 13, 2013 - The Citizens Committee to ReUse the 22 sponsored a booth at the Annandale Expo on April 13th. Visitors to the booth were encouraged to fill out a survey requesting community input for possible future uses of the 1922 School Building. 220 visitors filled out the survey. June, 2013 - On June 18th the Team held the 1st Public Meeting to report on their preliminary findings and gather input from the community. That week (June 18-20) the Team conducted a series of confidential interviews with community members in various roles, stakeholders with an impact on the future of the building.
October 29, 2013 - The Team presented their Final Report at the 2nd Public Meeting, including their recommendations for the most viable reuse of building.
