Review of the Agenda:
Secretarys Report:
MSP (Karen, Ron) to accept corrected minutes.
Financial Report

Librarians Report:
GRRL Report:
Joan reported that Heidi, the Youth Service Coordinator resigned.
It was sad to see her go because she did a very good job.
Because Hennepin and
Programming Report:
Dawn reported on the themes and dates chosen for the summer programs.
They will be on the 3rd Saturday and the 3rd
Tuesday. Karen will contact the
newspaper before each event. The FOL
will donate bananas and animal crackers. Cindy
has a friend who is a clown that will do face painting.
The FOL is purchasing an easel and $150 in new puppets.
Jill Healy will help with some summer programs.
FOL Report: Ron
reported that the author dinner for May 11 is all set.
Dean Cheney did posters for the book sale on June 30.
Books will be sorted on Tuesdays starting June 5.
The 501c3 has been sent in and could take 2 months or more to get
approved.
Art Committee
Dawn, Ron, and Julie

The high
school art is up. Dawn will be
meeting with Mary Barkley Brown to decide on a Julia Barkley painting for the
childrens area of the librarysomething very colorful and bright.
The committee needs a source for money to purchase some Pottery Barn
picture frames for childrens art. A
draft of the library art inventory was submitted.
The total value is approximately $22,500.
Some are for sale and will be advertised in the book sale ads.
Publicity Committee

The
newspaper did a nice job in formatting the April ad.
There was also an ad in the community section for the book sale.
Cindy sent the author dinner ad to the

reported that the MN Rural Library Sustainability workshop was geared more
toward staff people. There will be a
condensed version of the workshop at the MLA Conference.
An interesting web site where library staff meet to share ideas online is
webjunction.org.
For future
thought, Cindy suggested having Annandale Library orientations.
City and township council members could be invited to raise awareness of
what libraries are all about.
On June 19
the Zoo man will bring animals to the library before the program.
The next
meeting will be June 7, at 4:00 p.m.
