Secretarys Report: MSP (Denise, Joelle) to accept the minutes.

Financial Report - Mark reported that the balance is $1553.91. MSP (Karen, Julie O.) to accept the financial report.

Librarians Report: Sandy reported that she visited a class and read the children a story, Head Start has visited the library, the receipt printers are in and the new phone is working well.  A couple authors she recommends are KJ Erickson and Nancy Thayer.  She and Ed Groop attended a Friends Meet Friends in Monticello and shared information about different library projects and programs.  Total attendance at the March library program was 23.

GRRL Report:  Joan reported that Maple Lake is still planning on building an independent new library.  GRRL has taken a proactive approach on adding new libraries and is looking at five areas that need a library the most.  Because GRRL cant fund the present libraries now, it is more cost effective to add hours to one library than to add a new library.  She mentioned that Regional Library Funding from the State hasnt been increased much since 1992.

Programming Report:  The 3rd Saturday and every other Tuesday programs during the school year have been working well.  Dawn would like the binder for the summer theme to help build programs.  She will check with Jill Healy about helping with summer programs.  The 4-H group would like to help with programs.

FOL Report:  Ron reported that the next FOL meeting would be on April 10, 7pm at the library.  The State has received the 501c3 filing and the Friends should get an acceptance letter in 60 days.  The FOL will have a booth at the April 21 Expo.  Dean Cheney has made posters for the May 11 author event to be held at Reichels.  Ticket prices are $17 for FOL members and $20 for the general public.  Dinner will include chicken breast/raspberry sauce, rice pilaf, salad, rolls, coffee and lemonade, and assorted bars.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:00 and the program at 7:00.

Old Business:

Art Committee Ron, Julie O. and Dawn

The school art rotation is still going on.  Dawn is working with teachers to get more artwork.  They are waiting to receive a Julia Barkley painting from Mary.  A colorful picture is needed in the childrens area.  Sandy will look for a poster.  We have a waiver form for the 9 Rataczak Triathlon paintings. They are valued at $1500 each.  The city insures both the building and its contents.  The committee needs to get a form from the city stating how many we have and the value amount.

Publicity Committee - Cindy, Karen, Ron,

The committee will be meeting with FOL president Bonnie Gutzwiller and V.P. Ed Groop on April 14, 2007.
