Review of Agenda:

Secretarys Report:
Motion MSP (Julie, Jill) to approve.
Library Financials:
Mark Casey was not present but there are no changes from last
month.
Librarians Report:

GRRL Report: Joan
Summer programs are going well. There
is a new movement in
Minnesota
to support
Minnesota
authors speaking at author events. After
the meeting adjourned Joan gave a presentation using the librarys Internet
connection on the Online Resources section of the GRRL website including
searches on periodicals, complete periodicals online, health resources,
downloadable e-books and audio books in NetLibrary, genealogical resources in
HeritageQuest, and more.
Friends of the Library Report: Cindy
Sandy
would like two neon OPEN signs for the windows.
Book donations for the upcoming booksale on July 2nd may be
made in the month of June. Plans
for the 501c3 status are ongoing. There
have been plenty of volunteers to assist with programs.
Motion MSP
(Julie/Denise) to spend up to $300 for two neon OPEN signs.

Library Art Committee.

Ron reported on the class that will be offered in the fall through
Community Ed, taught by Lucille Nelson from the
Wright
County
Historical
Center
. Lucille was present and
emphasized that her class is for beginners in genealogy.
She will have handouts at her class and will be using the Internet
and Family Tree Maker software.
- Program
Advisor Dawn reported that the summer childrens programs are
going very well. The first
storytime had over 50 participants and In Hot Water offered a discount
card for Karens class.
New Business:
Next meeting will be Thursday, September 15 at 4:00 p.m. in
the city council chambers.
