Meeting Minutes

April 15, 2004

 

Members Present:  Kathy Wenngatz, Ron Remington, Elizabeth Cabalka, Jill Bishop, Sally Smith, Betty Anderson, Stephanie Rindelaub, Mark Casey city administrator, Joan Allen visitor, Cindy Ahrens visitor

 

*Review of the Agenda:  MSP (Jill, Betty) to approve agenda

 

*Secretarys Report:  MSP (Elizabeth, Jill) to approve minutes of the March meeting.

 

*Library Financials:  Presented by Markbalance of $3947.02.  MSP (Sally, Ron) to approve financial report.

 

*Librarians Report:  Light switches and entry heater problems have been referred to Joe.  Signage issue has been referred to Wold.

 

*GRRL Report:  Presented by JoanTrack It Down At your Library is the summer reading program.  Reviewed the library building situation in St. Cloud , St. Joseph and Sartell.

 

*Friends of the Library Report:  Stephanie reported that the Expo went well.  A garage sale is planned for May 1st.  April 22nd at 7:00 is the next Friends meeting.

 

*Old Business:

  • Art WorkNo Report
  • Goals and Focus of the Library BoardReviewed the Friends Bylaws and decided that a few minor changes need to be made.  Elizabeth and Jill will fine tune it.
  • TechnologyA new computer has arrived and been setup in the library.  Newspaper publicity is needed and the Friends will take care of that.
  • Annandale Online and Wish ListJill has corrected the ex-officio list and made them other advisors.  The donation policy has been added.  The rocker/glider is a pending item we have been investigating.
  • Grant ApplicationsNo Report
  • Book of DonorsRon has it all organized by date.  A special notebook and paper is needed.  Ron will look into that.  Ron will also Email Mary D. about dollar amounts for the in-kind donations.  David Grabham family needs a thank you.  Sally will take care of that.
  • Organization MembershipsTabled

 

*New Business:

  • Minnesota Library Assn meets on June 16 and 17Platform Development Legislative on 6/17.
  • American library Conference is June 24 29th in Orlando .
  • Minnesota Library Conference is October 6 8th in Duluth

 

Next meeting will be Thursday, June 20th at 4PM
