Artist Comments:
So many times when I drove past Lantto's Store in French Lake I would say to myself, "I want to paint that store before it goes."  It was such a quaint little old store with creaking uneven wooden floors.  The varnish had worn off the floor decades ago.  The aisles were narrow with a few food items.  But, Chris did sell Red Wing shoes.   There was a small table in one corner of the store that always had one or two retired farmers in their bib over-halls sitting and talking.  It was fun to go there it transported you back in time.
