Meals on Wheels
The Meals on Wheels Program is a Catholic Charities programs that delivers delivers low-cost nutritious noon-hour meals to the homes of older adults (age 60 and older) who are at-risk, homebound, ill, considered vulnerable, or who are unable to prepare the food for themselves or travel to a site where a meal is being served. The program can also deliver full-price meals to those under age 60 who need service due to an illness, disability or injury.
Volunteers from area churches in the community deliver the hot meals to the homes of their neighbors. Frozen meals are provided for weekends and holidays such as New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
