Improvement Club
Those serving as officers for this past year were as follows:
There were 56 names on the roster and an average attendance of 32.
There were three resignations, and we remember Carroll Rogers, Lee
Stringer, and Margaret Vanderhoof.
We had a varied and interesting program scheduled for each month,
including Chanhassen in December, and a trip to Heritage Center in March.
The Library had another busy summer with videos becoming an important
part, along with the summer reading programs.
600 wreaths were ordered and 27 were donated to the village along with
$100.00 for garlands. Many wreaths
were left unsold, so the number will have to be discussed for next year.
At a special meeting last summer it was voted to contribute $500.00 to
the Elevator Mural Fund.
A thank you to all who worked on the Centennial Art Show in July. A new project on the Library, which will involve our group, is the renovation of the Library basement. A large undertaking which will involve architectural drawings.
