Improvement Club The May meeting was held at St. Ignatius Church basement before our Annual Salad Luncheon. We decided to order 300 additional cookbooks. We had a very successful Spring Luncheon.
The June meeting was held at the library. We
had previously planned on a picnic at the Fair Haven Mill, but because of rain,
we decided to move indoors. Mark
Bandwart, City Planner, gave us a proposed
remodeling of the library basement. Merritt
Bartlett spoke to us about the Fair Haven
Mill.
The September meeting was held at Pioneer Park after a luncheon at the
library. Nobel Shadduck talked to us
about the park and showed us various buildings.
We decided to order 600 wreaths.
The October meeting was held on the bus returning from the Coffee Concert
we just attended. We had
lunch at the Pearl Diver. A
delightful day for everyone.
The November meeting was held at St. Johns Church.
We enjoyed a tea and were fortunate to hear Jane Hawthorn speak once
again.
The December meeting was held during the Open House at the library.
The local people really seemed to enjoy our Christmas Open House and Tea.
We decided to make a donation to Wright County Human Services.
The January meeting was held at the
St. Cloud Regional Library, following a tour of the new library.
We had lunch at the Mexican Village.
There were about 100 who attended the Christmas Open House.
$1361.70 were the profits from the
wreaths.
The February meeting was held at the library.
Guest speaker was Trudy Blow and her life with leukemia.
Margaret Stimmler also spoke to us about the Laotian family.
We spoke about the responsibilities of becoming a member.
The March meeting was held at the library.
We learned about some members hobbies and some explained about them.
We will assist with the Pre-School testing.
The April meeting is to be held at the library. This is our annual business meeting. We will elect new officers. Good luck to each new member.
