Annandale Area Community Band
The Annandale Area Community Band first started playing together in 1993 under the direction of Zane Schaefer. When traveling with his job caused Zane to step down from the podium in 1994, Ken Rudolph took up the baton. Ken directed for most of the next 20 years, along with Jennie Planer and Megan Hagberg, until 2013 when Barbara Jacobson took over. Zane still performs with AACB and Ken continued to play with the band until age 97! Our membership can be as many as 30+ ranging in age of 15 and up, coming from as far away as Rockford, Monticello, Cokato, Maple Lake and South Haven, to name a few. Our music consists of Ameriana, gospel, showtunes, pop and rock and much more. We perform about 12 times a year including the Annandale Business Expo, Annandale's Concert in the Park Series, and Annandale's 4th of July concert series. We also perform in nearby nursing homes, town events, and church functions. If you play a band instrument or would like to dust yours off and give it another try please join us! Practices are held on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the band room at Annandale High School, 855 Hemlock Street East. If you would like Annandale Area Community Band to perform at your function please contact Barbara Jacobson at 320-274-2694. |
