The Discover Downtown Annandale ACTION TEAM

After a year of informal meetings a group of concerned Annandale Area citizens and business owners joined ACT as Discover Downtown Annandale. The formation of this action team occurred in 2007 and was identified in the following year's Community Visioning Session as an area of importance. Discover Downtown Annandale is committed to promoting and improving the Downtown Annandale area of the community. In addition to the two blocks of main street/Oak Street it includes a two block stretch to both the east and west.

A Downtown Farmers Market was established and conducts business each Saturday, June-early October, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, in front of City Hall on Cedar Street. This lively market promotes local produce/growers, artisans, a massage therapist, and crafts for sale. In addition the ACT Arts Action Team provides funding for summer Market Concerts held monthly. The Annandale Public Library has also provided music through The Legacy Fund.

The Discover Downtown Annandale Team has developed green space on Main Street into Clock Tower Park. The park's engraved paver pathway winds through the park around the huge clock tower, the ACT Arts Team's bronze statue, and benches and tables.    Visit Clock Tower Park to order your engraved paver.
