ARTS COMMITTEE
MEETING NOTES
May 1, 2008

We welcomed a new member to the committee. Her name is Helen Myllykangas. She works at the South Haven Post Office and she graciously agreed to be our poster hanger and prize donation retriever in the South Haven and Kimball area. Welcome Helen, its nice to have you on the team!!

-          Summer concert posters have been printed and distributed. Wendy made up a list of local businesses including downtown and outlying areas where posters have been hung in the past and also what business have donated before for our chance drawings. Every one who was in attendance last week divvyed up the work list and took posters to hang and they are responsible for asking for prize donations. Thank you all very much for helping with this task. Its a lot of work.

-          Wendy is working on printing up the posters for the Petals and Palate Garden tour and may need assistance from all committee members to hang those as well. If we cant get to it before the next meeting, Ill be distributing them out at the meeting on June 5^th.

-          All of the homeowners for the garden tour are locked in. Unfortunately I wasnt taking good notes and did not catch all of the names of the homeowners.

Laura or Charlene, can one of you email me a list of everyone?  We will need to work on getting the homeowner interviews done as soon as possible so we can start putting together the handouts and maps. July 12^th is not that far away!!

Agenda for the next meeting:

-          Petals and Palate Posters

-          Homeowner BIO sheets and maps (need the list of homeowners so I can start working on maps)

-          Menu for the Petals and Palate luncheon

-          Hanging concert posters (how did that go?)

-          Prize donations (how did that go or how is it going?) Feel free to bring any donations with you to the meeting as well need to put gift baskets together

-          Art Crawl

-          Round Table what else is going on??

Towards the end of the meeting Helen and Charlene and I were talking about a St. Cloud radio station. Helen sent me the following information regarding the station as well as links to a couple of folk music sites. I am forwarding them on if any is interested in checking them out.
