MEETING NOTES
August 9, 2007

AUGUST MEETING MINUTES

1.  Reviewed Garden Tour.  Suggestions for next years gardens include, Nancy Spencer, Diane Swanson, Annie Horhonene, Linda Paumen, Suzy Manke, Paul and Patty Gustufson, Ron and Kay Brown, Kim and Jeff Holmberg, Patty Knight, Beryl Geisinger.

Food was wonderful.  The extra garden helped with the time span.  The gardens wer all terrific.  Need to look at ticket price.  We made $900 on the event.  We need to make more on the event.  The Improvement Club charges $30 or $35 for their Lake Sylvia Tour.

2.  Art Crawl:  So far we have the following people to display:

IN HOT WATER:  Betty Anderson's Art Students

      SNOOTY FOX:  Annandale Quilt Club

     LAMPRECHT AND BAJARI:  They supply

STONE CREEK GALLERY:  Duane will supply the featured artist

ZAHLERS: (has this location been confirmed and do we need it?)

    MILLERS JEWELRY

    STATE FARM: Diane Nelson-weaving.

ANNANDALE EMBROIDERY

Suggested artists:  Claudia Forsberg (she will have one piece in the coffee shop as she is a student of Betty's)  Mae Spencer (pottery, I need to call and confirm with her), Susan Envy (is she confirmed and should we set her up at Miller's or Annandale Embroidary?)  Mark Smith (not confirmed but we cannot have him at the coffee shop which would have been ideal as his work could hang longer than one night, not sure what we should do).

MUSICIANS:  We need to have music lined up for the locations

MARKETING: We need to get the posters up.  The Snooty Fox Gallery will be doing a post card mailing which will include the information.  We also have our own mailing list to use.  We need to develop press releases to get out after Labor Day to area newspapers.

HOLIDAY HOME TOUR FUNDRAISER:

HOMES: Balfour, Westman, Hieber/Carlson (I need to reconfirm), Envy (needs to be confirmed).  We need one more home (provided those that need confirmation are still willing).  Tickets will be ready for sale after Labor Day.   (I will try to have them by our meeting on 9/6)

CONCERTS IN THE PARK

Hats off to Dawn and her family for arranging and conducting a wonderful summer concert season.  Thank you for a job well done and for such quality entertainment.  You are doing a great job with the 2008 line up.  They all sound wonderful.

NEXT MEETING THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 6 AT 5 P.M AT THE SNOOTY FOX GALLERY
