ACT Arts and Culture Meeting Minutes.
March 1, 2007
 
1.  Discussed the quote for the sound system.  The group had questions for clarification as follows: Can the mic's be switched?  Are all cables included in the price?  What is the warranty/repair to be done and how long is the warranty?  A motion was made to approve the proposal pending the information we are requesting.
The group also discussed adding a microphone that would be portable and clipped to the person wearing it.  A request for information on that will be requested. (Motion made by Dawn Stumpf/second by Charlene Schaefer- passed unanimous)
 
2.  The group decided to send a follow up letter to the winner of the raffle as he has not redeemed the travel prize yet and the time limit is soon to expire.
 
3.  The stage was discussed and Dawn mentioned that the skirting is in need of new velcro.  Charlene will check to see if she has any and then we will decide how it needs to be applied.
 
4.  Wendy will work on the posters again for the Petals and Palate Garden Tour and Summer Concert Series.  She showed a draft program which looked great.  Laura will get the garden tour tickets printed in time for the Business Expo.  The postcard size handout with the summer concerts and our events will be done for the Business Expo as well.  It was decided that refreshments for the summer concerts would be turned over to kids wanting to make some money.

Aug 24 Granite City Brass (Broadway Tunes)
 
5.  We are booking our gardens and homes for our fundraisers.
6.  We will have a booth at the Business Expo: 4/21/07
     Volunteered to sit at the booth- 8 a.m.-9:30  Don Gadow and Sherri Sweetnam
                                                        9:30-11:00  Charlene Schaefer and Sr. Carol S.
                                                       11:00-1        Wendy Webb
7.  Our next meeting will be April 5 at 5 p.m.
