Meeting Minutes of November 2, 2006

 

1.  Discussed upcoming Holiday Home Tour Fundraiser.  Tickets are available for sale at The Snooty Fox Gallery.  $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event.

 

2.  Cottage Gourmets are providing the refreshments following the tour at Fair Haven Farm.  Susan and Barb were interviewed for the St. Cloud Times Style Magazine/Trends section RE: entertaining.  Laura will contact them for a copy of the article to include in the packets for the home tour participants.

 

3.  An overview letter will go to each home owner with information.  The letter will include questions for the home owner to answer.  This information will be used for the packet.

 

4.  Wendy will be creating the maps for the packet.  Charlene has created a beautiful framed poster announcing the event and that is posted at The Snooty Fox Gallery.  Wendy designed and printed wonderful posters that have been circulated around town.

 

5.  Discussed having a few items/baskets that people can purchase chances on.  We need to pursue this.

 

6.  Ardis has contacted the Valero Family who will provide caroling music from 2-3 p.m.  The carols will be in Spanish.  Carol agreed to be an interpreter that if the newspaper would like to do a story about this musically gifted family.

 

7.  Laura will contact the Advocate and give them a press release and info on potential stories.

 

8.  Wendy has the sign frames but we need to make posters to place in front of each house.  A drawing of a Wreath would be a good symbol for the home tourists.

 

9.  Laura will have cider at The Snooty Fox that day for people to have prior to the start of the tour.

 

10.  A report was given regarding information that Ken Rudolph has received on the portable sound system.

 

11.  A Holiday gathering will take place at Laura Hood Beckman's for the Arts Committee on Thursday November 30 at 6 p.m.
