MEETING NOTES
July 13, 2006

Meeting Minutes of 7/13/06

1.  Garden Tour a tremendous success.  If anyone has reimbursement request to submit, please do so.  We do not have a final amount made as we are still submitting expenses.  The money has been deposited to ACT treasurer, Eric Erlandson.  The food was fantastic, the gardens breathtaking, and the attendees had a great time and are requesting it to occur next year!

2.  Concert in the Park 7/14/06.  Timothy Berry and Friends sponsored by Star Bank and Anchor Dock and Lift.  Please thank these business' when you see them.
Next concert is Friday 7/21- Mr. Jim's.  Dawn needs help to set up and take down.  Please volunteer your assistance.

3.  BOOTLEGGER'S BANQUET.
Wendy has made table tent signs to be distributed.  Charlene has designed small posters to be distributed.
Tickets are for sale at The Snooty Fox Gallery and Miller's Jewelry.  Please do not hesitate to check out tickets from Miller's Jewelry.  Remember when you sell tickets that we can reserve tables for people.  Make sure to track who you are selling the tickets to, with name/address/phone and who goes to what table.  To make this successful we need everyone selling the tickets and getting  groups to gather to attend.  Please talk to your circle of friends/neighbors/families and sell, sell, sell.
We discussed decorations.  Laura will contact a company that sells Amber glass jugs to use as centerpieces.  Charlene and Wendy have been scouring places such as Swappers Meet and have come up with a number of jugs.  In fact Charlene may have a lead on an Old Still.
Ken Rudolph and Charlene have been researching the history of Prohibition, Bootlegging etc.  Chuck Sterling will be at The Snooty Fox Gallery around 4 p.m. on Thursday July 20th to interview us on our event and this period of time.  This is a great opportunity for media coverage.  I have contacted Lucille Nelson who helps with the Wright County Historical Society and will find old newspaper articles from our area on Bootlegging.  She has agreed to attend our meeting as well.
The Silent Auction is going well.  Make sure to get those items in so Kathy can catalog them and make the appropriate signage.  They can be dropped off at The Snooty Fox Gallery.
We discussed the menu and came to final conclusions.  Laura will contact Robin to discuss.  The menu is close to what would have been served at that time.  We only have 3 weeks to sell tickets!

Respectfully submitted,
Laura Hood Beckman
