ARTS & CULTURE
MEETING NOTES
February 2, 2006
The February meeting was held on 2/2 at 5 p.m.
In attendance: Don Gadow, Sherry Sweetnam, Dawn Schaefer Stumpf,
Ken Rudolph, Laura Hood Beckman, Charlene Schaefer, and Ardis Nelson
1. Reviewed 1st draft of brochure with Sherry S.
Feedback was given. Additional photo's and feedback to be given by mid
Feb so that she can bring the next draft to our March meeting.
2. Discussion held regarding a sound system. Ken
Rudolph will be contacting a company to present information at our April
Meeting. Charlene will ask Zane Schaefer to provide input into the type
of sound system we may need.
3. Dawn Schaefer Stumpf reported on the grant she has
written to the Central MN Arts Board for $2,000 to support the summer concert
series. This money would only provide 1/2 of the budget needed for this
years concerts in the park. The grant is due on Feb. 8
4. Dawn reported on the summer concerts. Laura has
spoken to Eric E. at Community Ed about putting the summer concert series
information into the booklet. Additional advertising discussed was the
Summer Guide, The Advocate, the kiosk. We will discuss this more at a
later date.
5. Fundraisers for 2006 was discussed and decided:
A summer garden tour, The fall Dinner/Dance/ Silent Auction to be an annual
event for the arts and a Holiday Home Tour.
6. We need to investigate the power situation at the park
as we had gaps last year.
7. Next meeting March 2 from 5 p.m.-6 p.m.

portable performance stage and discuss budget.
-Set a date for visioning session
-Stage rental review
