MEETING NOTES
January 5, 2006
ACT Arts and Culture Meeting Minutes
January 5, 2006 5 p.m.
Present: Laura Hood Beckman, Charlene Schaefer, Dawn
Schaefer Stumpf and Sherry Sweetnam
1. Sherry Sweetnam is working on a brochure of the
Portable Performance Stage. She met with the group to get more information
about the stage and led us through a discussion/questionnaire of the stage
potential. She will present a draft at our February meeting.
2. Three fundraiser ideas were briefly discussed for
2006: A summer Garden Tour, The Dinner/Dance/Silent Auction and a
Holiday Home Tour.
3. Dawn Schaefer Stumpf has been working on a grant
request to the Central Minnesota Arts Board. This was reviewed and
discussed. She will be submitting the grant to the board by the Feb. 8
deadline. She has done a great job! The purpose of the grant is to help
fund the summer concert series. Dawn has 6 performances planned and
coordinated.
4. Meeting was adjourned. Next meeting February 5,
2006 5-6 p.m. at The Snooty Fox Gallery.
5. Please mark your calendars for the rest of 2006 to
reflect our monthly meetings. Dawn has graciously volunteered to email a
notice to the paper for the Community Pages. Thanks Dawn!
