MEETING NOTES
July 7, 2005
July 7 Meeting Minutes
ACT Arts and Culture
1. Discussed stage section storage. Group approved
the purchase of a trailer for $3,000 to store and transport stage sections.
Request had been made by city workers to have trailer available to make the
transport/set-up and take-down easier. Request was taken to ACT Meeting
of July 14 and approved that rental fees for Portable Performance Stage would
be used to pay for the trailer.
2. Raffle Ticket Update. As of 7/21/05 Mike Z.
reports that 320 tickets (32 books of 10 each) have been sold and
the money turned in, 430 tickets (43 books) are currently checked out money
not turned in and 250 tickets (25 books) are yet to be checked out. We
have currently deposited $6,400.00 which means we have covered our prize
expenses. Please work hard on the 43 books currently checked out.
This is a great team of volunteers and we can do it! Jeff L. volunteered
to look at other areas to set up the stage and sell tickets.
3. "Back to the 40's Dinner/Dance" committee will
meet 7/28 at 5 p.m. at IN HOT WATER COFFEE HOUSE. Anyone interested in
attending should do so. The dance is scheduled for 10/1/05. Our
goal is to sell 300 tickets to this event.
4. Summer Concert Series. This has been a great
success. The Maple Lake Jazz Band was fabulous. The Broadway On
Main had the best turnout (around 200) with wonderful local talent. A
special thanks to Dawn and Jim Stumpf and Ardis and Mark Nelson for the work
in making this event so successful.
The final concert is AUGUST 12 AT 6:30 P.M. AT THE PARK/
SOFTBALL FIELD. Please note the slight change in location and time
change. The groups is ORANGE WHIP which plays classic rock and roll.
A very good group. Please spread the word.
5. A group of Annandale Students are busy working on a
musical production of FAME, which they will perform August 26-28 at the High
School Auditorium. Watch for more information.
6. Next Meeting will be August 4 at 5 p.m. at The Snooty
Fox Gallery.
