Arts and Culture Meeting Minutes
May 5, 2005

1.  Reviewed booth at the Business Expo.  Everyone agreed that the booth looked great and the signage was very good.  Approximately 13 tickets were sold that day.

2.  Raffle Ticket Sales:  Ken Rudolph and Jim Rudolph had sold over 120 at the time of our meeting.  The group set a goal of selling 200 by the end of May and 800 by July 9 with the remaining sold by Oct. 1.  Ticket Sales opportunities will be at the Chili Cook-Off held on Saturday May 28th of Memorial Weekend.  Please get out there and promote those tickets.  If you are a member of a group (Lion's, Chamber, Boy Scouts, Garden Club etc) bring those tickets along and provide your friends with this great opportunity.  Remember we are only selling 1,000 and we don't want people to miss out on getting a ticket.  The summer concerts will be another place to sell tickets.  Let's not forget the 4th of July, which is a great place to sell tickets.  Wouldn't it be great to sell out by the end of July?

3.  When selling tickets remember that the raffle will be held on Oct. 1 at the Dinner/Dance but the raffle ticket does not get you in to the dinner/dance.  We are hearing from some people there is confusion in the community.

4.  Wright County Sesqui-centennial.  The group agreed that we would rent out the stage to this committee at the Annandale non-profit rate of $95 plus mileage and city worker fee.  Ken Rudolph will meet with Mark Casey to work out the details.

5.  The Portable Performance Stage:  Needs some work.  The lettering decals need to be removed and new ones put on.  Mike Z.  has been very busy and will need us to help with this.  A tenative work date will be set for tuesday May 24 at MCP.  More details to follow.  Put the date on your calendar and come prepared to peel decals.  TIME IS RUNNING OUT  our first concert is June 17th so please plan on helping.

6.  The summer concert series is set.  Please keep in mind that we need local talent to sign up for the Broadway Review which will be held at the end of July.  Sign up now through Community Ed.  Dawn Schaefer Stumpf and Ardis Nelson have graciously agreed to lead this project.  It will be great!

7.  ACT has a new reimbursement form that must be completed and approved prior to checks payable.  I have these forms as well as Eric Erlandson at Community Ed.  Please pass this information on to the Dinner/Dance folks.  Thanks.

8.  Our next meeting will be June 2 at 5 p.m. at the Snooty Fox.
