Arts and Culture Meeting Minutes
March 4, 2004
1. The portable stage follow up calls were discussed. A number
of suggestions were made by organizations for uses of such equipment.
Ideas included; Summer Concert Series, School functions i.e. Homecoming,
Quarterback Club/Golf Tournament, Outdoor Theater, 4th of July activities,
Chili Cook-off. The Chamber of Commerce was very supportive of this
project.
A few additional letters will be sent by Mike Z. as some
organizations had not received or had misplaced them.
2. A brief presentation was made by Doug Kantor who is
very active in GREAT Theater. They are planning "The Miraculous
Disappearance of Marilyn Moo" for their summer production in Annandale.
Tryouts will be in May (17 and 18). GREAT Theater is hoping to work
closely/mentor interested Community Theater people in our area.
3. Don Gadow volunteered to connect with Ken R. and Jeff
L. regarding the portable stage.
4. A special meeting will be planned for March 18 at 6:00
p.m. to discuss working at the ACT Booth at the Annandale Business Expo. to be
held April 3.
5. The Art Gallery continues to progress. All are
invited to stop in to see the progress on the rennovations.
We usually meet the first thursday of the Month but due to the
Business Expo and the Special Meeting we will update you on our meeting time
in the near future.
